e-tect.com was founded in September of 2001.

Having identified a large majority of businesses were being ignored, we initially set ourselves up with the purpose of providing cost effective IT services for small to medium businesses.

Traditionally these companies have smaller budgets, smaller networks, but their requirements and drive are perhaps even greater than the corporate companies who are the lucky recipients of the majority of IT attention.

Behind the scenes, our understanding of the increasing risks of internet connectivity was creating a development of our intenet security division - and again with our commitment to the smaller business we started looking at ways of bringing a traditionally corporate service into the SME arena, while maintaining affordability for these companies.

With the ever increasing rate that businesses (even home users) are embracing the always on xDSL technologies - the risks are becoming even greater to the financial bottom line. With excess data charges combined with high speed, it only takes a short amount of time for a hacker to create a rather substantial increase in traffic charges.
